Greener welcomes Fran Ereira as Strategy and Partnerships Advisor

We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Fran Ereira to Greener’s advisory board, to hone our strategy and accelerate partnerships with green retailers. Fran is a leader in digital, retail, logistics and payments, most recently the ANZ Country Head at Klarna, responsible for the buy-now-pay-later fintech’s launch and growth in the region.

World changing solutions need a world class team. We’re over the moon to announce the appointment of Fran Ereira to Greener’s advisory board, to hone our strategy and accelerate partnerships with green retailers.

Fran is a leader in digital, retail, logistics and payments, most recently the ANZ Country Head at Klarna, responsible for the buy-now-pay-later fintech’s launch and growth in the region.  Previously, she was a senior executive at Zip Co, and has over 20 years of experience in senior roles at retail and tech companies, including The Walt Disney Company and Sheridan.

Safe to say, Fran has the background and know-how to help us launch the Green Economy and solve our most pressing environmental challenge - climate change.

Greener is currently in beta,and is working with Harvard University, University of Sydney and WWF to create a world first carbon neutral economy. Over 40 sustainable brands have already joined this coalition, including Microsoft, Koala, LEGO, M.J. Bale, Powershop, Flora & Fauna, and Dan Murphy’s.

Let’s get to know Fran

Fran, what compelled you to join Greener?

“I’ve joined Greener as it’s vital that together we help end climate change and I love the solution that Tom and Neil have created enabling brands and consumers to clearly measure the impact they are together making. I’m looking forward to seeing how quickly we can together make an impact and grow the Greener economy.”

What did you want to be when you grew up?

“From a young age there were two things I always knew I wanted to do - run a company and be the voice and support for people with intellectual disabilities to give them as many of the same opportunities we have.”

Who was your biggest brush with fame?  

“I was fortunate enough to spend a week on Necker Island with a group of amazing women and Sir Richard Branson. I’ve looked up to him and admired his incredible entrepreneurial success and leadership. He truly believes people are your best asset and he attributes his success to everyone across his businesses, something not enough leaders do! What I also love is how philanthropic he is - what’s most special is he doesn’t only support initiatives from a financial perspective but he personally gives his time to help achieve outcomes for all of them too.”

What is the most played song on your Spotify playlist?

“Hmmmm this is not an easy one as I like lots of songs. Artists wise Adele, Lauren Daigle, Ed Sheeran, Sting there are lots and from various genres.”

If you were invisible, where would you go?

“I would go from household to household ensuring everyone was safe and being treated respectfully providing protection to all - women, children and the disabled.”

Who is your climate hero and why?

“For his commitment to electric vehicles, solar and power walls I’d have to say Elon Musk. He certainly made electric cars “sexy” and now everyone is following which is awesome.”

What’s more important – millions of people doing zero-carbon imperfectly, or a handful doing it perfectly?

Millions of people doing it imperfectly as the impact will be far greater.”
